Installing a Pioneer DXT-2266UB in a 98 ford contour

I've tried a couple of wiring diagrams but none seem to be correct. the car still has all the factory wire colors.

This is the right diagram for a 98 ford contour. If the color does'nt match, can you post the last 8 digits of the car's VIN?

Unless someone cut it off there is a black wire with a spade terminal to connect to the car chassis. Now go to http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/support/details/0,,2076_310070339_338834008,00.html Register, and download your manuals. Problem solved.

Here's a link to the manual. The wiring color code for the supplied harness is on page 78. The diagram is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I recommend that you download the PDF and print out the page you need.

1990 cadillac deville radiator fan wiring diagram?

As you can see, a couple of fan relays. Use a jumper wire on load side of fan relay, the load side is the line with arrowhead. The red wire going to load side of relay, top wire in diagram is hot all the time. As far as the control side of relay, the voltage is fuse protected and goes hot with key on. I couldn't get everything in diagram, the coolant temp sensor is involved. Any applicable trouble codes?

Power locks won't unlock 2006 focus

Your power door lock switchs are an input to the GEM - genaric electronic module . Watch what an how you test you could short out transistors inside the module . The GEM after receiving an input from a switch will activate the correct door lock . Probably has DTC'S -diagnostic trouble codes stored . The power door locks are controlled by a Body computer or GEM module . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop because you don't have a clue .

You will need the factory owners manual to get the information on what each fuse supplies power to or the factory wiring diagrams, we have neither. You can obtain a used copy of the factory published wiring diagrams here. for $19.00

Replaced cap rotor wires an plugs. have a miss of idle and no power

I'd double check that you have the correct plug wire going to the correct plug on the distributor. If you have a couple in the wrong place it will run but do exactly what you describe. Could be a bad plug wire too, I've had new ones be bad out of the box. (or just have a poorly crimped boot connector).
You can narrow the miss by removing plug wires one at a time and then running it to see which one(s) doesn't seem to make a difference whether it's plugged in or not.
