I used WD-40 just once. How can I know if I damaged it completely?

WD-40 probably hasn't killed it, most of it will evaporate in time. It can cause the shredder to get gummed up with little paper particles so you might need to clean it out with some compressed air. I wouldn't use any sprays on a shredder unless Fellowes recommends it.

Bobbin shaft will not turn, I have it pushed all the way to the right

Sometimes the bobbin winder gets frozen and will not turn any longer. Try a little WD 40 to get it loosened up, blow that out with compressed air then oil up with sewing machine oil.

Squeaking

I am in the same boat, currently looking for an answer on this one. It is a really abnoxious squeak. Tried WD-40 but no luck. Not sure where the problem is even coming from.

My dryer was squeaking really bad, so I sprayed WD 40 on the pulley & belt, squeaking stopped but the dryer also stopped turning. The pulley still turns but the dryer drum doesn't

The belt is slipping now. Need to clean the WD40 off, use methylated spirits, isopropyl or rubbing alcohol on a cloth.

Machine making squealing sound in wash and spin cycles like a bearing is loose or something. how do you fix this?

Use WD-40. No tools needed. Tip the washer on its backside and remove the beltaa79289.jpgTurn the main drive pulley to release the brake and spray some WD-40 under the brake liner. The squeak will magically disapear.

Cant turn angle adjuster on table saw model 3400 craftsman

I would first look for debris/sawdust on the mechanism, clean it with compressed air and then try and find a dry spray lubricant if not temporarily use some WD-40 to free it up

Dragging motor and squeak

Absolutely! WD-40 is NOT a lubricant. I've been using Hoppes gun oil, but 3-in-1 oil will work, and you might find oil labeled for use on electric motors at an appliance parts seller.

Hi jimmacd, W-D 40 is the perfect solution. It will not attract any dirt or cause problems in the bearing assembly.
