Bad headphones/speakers

It's unlikely your headphones or speakers are bad, but it's worthwhile to eliminate these as the source of your problem at the beginning. Try your iPhone with another set of headphones or speakers just to make sure that the problem is with the iPhone.

Bad audio jack

The most likely cause of audio output problems on iPhone 4S is a bad audio-out jack. If you have determined that the problem does not lie in your external speakers, you should replace the headphone jack.
please follow the steps and fix it.
God bless you

The left side of my earphones randomly stopped working, can it be fixed?

Sounds like the wires are broken from stress or the mini jack is not inserted completely.

The left side of my bose earphones is working perfectly but the right side just went completely dead is there any way to fix this?

in most cases this is a broken wire issue and it can not be fixed unless you know where the trouble is exactly ..The fix will be to locate the break ..and tide it back ..but if it is a fine wire piece you will not be able to do much ..

How do you Fix earphone?

It may be the plug end and not the ear piece itself. Usually the problem is the plug, rather than the phones themselves.

How do you Fix earphone?

It could be the wire is broken inside, or more likely the jack is not fitting into the plug as well as it did when new. Have you tried it in another device to see if it works there?

Left earphone just stopped working -

I just solved my problem. My left earphone wasn't working or would work some of the time with it cutting in and out depending on my head position or if I moved quickly. What I did follows:
1. Took ear pad off
2. Took black liner off of the inside of earphones. Glued on 2 spots.
3. Below the silver band of material is a clear plastic lining that covers the speaker.
4. I pressed that clear liner to see if it helped make the left earphone work and it did.
5. I had to fiddle with it to get it perfect but it worked for me.
I'm sure this would void any warranty and work on your own headphones at your own risk.

Left side of earphones don't work

I have the same problem as well. you just have to take the headphones out, and not put them in all the way. just put them in partway, wait until you can hear out of both.

Left side of stereo earphone does not work.

In side of your left wire there are two tiny coper wires (either blue/green/Red and gold) one of which is easily cut off.
Peel off the wire cover (Dont cut it off) near the earphone head (normally not more than an inch) to findout where one of the colored wire is cut off and fix it.
Note: Before you could join or fix this broken one firstly you need to burn up the color coded wire with fire for a SECOND so that all the color (green/Red...) are cleaned up.

If this dont fix Please tell me. Im here to help you

Good Luck!

Sansa E250 Left Earphone Issue

I have the same problem and read on other forums that it was because of a MusicEQ glitch and that if you swtched it to a non-Normal mode and then back to Normal, the problem would fix itself. This didn't work for me, but maybe it will for you.

(Just got off the phone with Sandisk Tech Support and they basically told me to update to the latest firmware, but that didn't work either so they said that they didn't know what else to tell me and let me go. Not exactly helpful.)
