Are they the same models?
The phone's capability to sustain a stable network coverage may vary even in model types.
While at your home,remove the phone's battery and simcard and fit them again.
Note how the phone's network signal registers.
It may start very high and then drop drasticaly to very low or no signal at all or sustain a constant signal reception.
If the reception's good in other areas,then your home area's network coverage may not be that good.

Signal has a wide range field or area in diagnosing a network problem,it depends the situation on what happen to the phone,weather it was watered damage,drop off the ground or suddenly lost network.

Let's start with the Software Problem

* check your network settings if set to DUAL mode,it means you've 2G or 3G signal,if this mode is far away from your area or out of coverage,you will experience signal dropping, If you are not using 3G signal,better switch to GSM mode and it will stick the signal along your area.

For Hardware Problem

* Base on source and latest issues about signal problem is by replacing 2n2 capacitor,before reheating or removing some main parts like PA (Power Amplifier) and other IC,better focus on this capacitors,Here is a illustration and have a look were it is located




* For no access,change the upper part.
* For no network coverage, change the lower part.

first of all use a 3g network sim card and be in 3g coverage area then

go to setting

Network settings

change network mode sitting to 2g & 3g

then test the video call

3g service is activated when you enter a 3g network. 3g networks are in select cities, refer to your wireless carrier's website to see where the closest 3g area is to you.

Although your handset is capable of 3G speeds. The speed itself and the coverage you are recieving is dependant on many things. You could be in a location where there is only 2G masts, in which case the youtube videos will show buffering and will more than likely time out, due to 2G not being adequate for streaming.

The 3G network in your location could be down or some of the BTS(sites) in your location could be working at a degraded capacity and in need of repair by your network. This is something you can find out by calling your network who will be able to give you information or inform there network and devices teams of possible problems in the area.

The 3G network in you area could also be very busy in your location and it can also come down to things as simple as environmental issues.

If your SIM care has not provisioned for 3G coverage or is not a 3G sim this will also stop you from recieving 3G speeds, all this information you can get from you network provider.

its shows 3g when there is no network coverage , its just an indication that the mobile is a 3g enabled mobile. if it continues there might be a possible hardware problem.

there may not be any problem at all , 
as 3g is notorious for sometimes bad and very patchy network coverage ,so it may be a network problem rather than your phone 
i know a few people who have similar issues with all ranges off phones from nokia,sony erricson,samsung blackberries etc.
if problem persists ring 3g from a land line to find out about the network coverage and if they have known issues/problems
