I was trying to configure the DVD with the receiver but when I changed (in the DVD SetUp) the Video for PScan the CyberHome Blue Screen disapeared and a Blank Screen(Black Screen) apeared. Since that I can´t access the Set up again to change it back.
I also tried the Jack Dan Suggestion "putting it on standby, turning on and then opening the disc case and pressing stop for 5 secs. It didnt work.
I just need to acces the Set Up menu to change it back or reset to the factory default configuration. Please ! Help !

when the a dvd is stop or not inserted press the setup button (depending on firmware version) you will see system menu the screen saver should be on the first menu press the enter button to access different menus and sub menus as for region i cant help you through traditional methods
Go into SETUP
GENERAL SETUP PAGE
Go to VIDEO OUTPUT (can't see through error message, but it is the second one down - If you are on the right one, you will see S-Video, YUV Interlace and YUV Progress. as choices)
Change setting from YUV Progress to YUV Interlace
Mine was set on YUV Progress. and when I changed it, the problem disappeared.
After checking today to see no one offered any suggestions - I solved the problem the hard way - I went into settings and although the screen rolled, I was finally able to click onto the ntsc setting after about a half hour of tries and once I clicked it, my screen returned to normal -- i was then able to enter the code that made the player an all region player and was happily able to play a pal dvd I received recently. The procedure was simple -- offered by a European Cyberhome user -- the company is in bankruptcy so you cannot gt help from them. Note - my Cyberhome dvr is 1500- not 1600 as you listed it.
There is an error in the manual. In order to reset to factory defaults, turn on (with no disc inside), DO NOT OPEN THE DISC TRAY, just press the stop button on the player for 5 seconds (some solutions say 20 seconds).
