Fresh SD cards must be formatted before being used. Use the camera's menu options to format the card.

SOURCE: sd card

Hey litbit3471,
What you most likely need to do is format the SD card. Directions on how to do this are on page 82 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual incase you need it. I hope this helps!

SOURCE: Card error

Hi!

I wish what I'll be saying will resolve the problem. Unfortunately, your camera can only support up to 1GB of SD card. That's the reason why the 4GB card is not working.

Here's a screenshot of the details regarding your Polaroid camera.

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

SOURCE: Card Protected on Polaroid i835

It's probably a broken switch inside the camera memory card readed. The memory card readers in cameras have a small switch that detects if the SD card LOCK switch is on. This is a hardware problem, you should give it for a repair - it's not a hard repair - I usually cut off the switch and put a wire so the camera allways thinks that the card is not locked.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Polaroid Model a815 just bought

As you only bought it yesterday, take it back to the vendor and request a demonstration to your satisfaction. This looks like a fault, assuming so, request a replacement under warranty.

Normally, all of these camera's are straight forward to use, except perhaps Casio.

I get memory card error when trying access my SD card

do you mean you switched to a NEW sd card or to a DIFFERENT one you had laying around? sometimes if you put a card into a different device, say maybe a laptop, and you don't go to 'safely remove disc' on the computer it will wreck your sd card when you remove it. make sure you try a new card from a package before you do anything else-if that doesn't work your camera has a problem.

Normally, you can only insert an SD card one way. Try a different SD card or check to see if the SD card you're using has the "write protect" switch on. If that's not the issue try formatting the card in your PC and then format it in the camera.

My phone keeps telling me that my SD card has been removed but it hasn't been. I've tried taking it out and putting it back in but it keeps telling me the same thing

maybe because your phone don't recognize your SD card anymore. try to put your SD card to other phone and try if the other phone recognize your SD card, if the other phone don't recognize your SD card, the problem is in your SD card. you should buy a new SD card if that's the case. Also try to put a different SD card on your phone and you'll see your phone will recognize the different SD card.

You won't be able to use a card larger than about 1GB (maybe 2GB) in this camera. "SD" cards larger than 2GB are actually SDHC cards. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different electrically. Many cameras won't work with SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

You may be restricted to using only SD cards, and many 4gb cards are actually SBHD. My sister had this problem with her camera and by putting in a new 2 gb SD card, her camera worked fine. You may need to shop online in order to find an SD card, but they're widely available online. It costs about the same for 2 2gb cards as one 4gb even though they aren't as convenient.

Error on formating new memory card in camera error says memory card is full brand new card i tried 2 in faact same error kodak c310

The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Was OK, but now memory card requires formatting? Kodak Easy Share C-530. I tried several times to put in new memory card, but it always says it needs reformatting and when i try "continue" it then goes to:...

She is not arguing with the camera. Sheesh. When she says she hits "continue" she is talking about continue for the camera to format the card. But instead of formating the card it says filesystem error e00100. The camera will NOT format the card. I have the same problem. I can format the card on the computer, but again the camera says it can not read the card and needs to format. You choose to format, and it says filesystem error e00100. My card is brand new. So I used cards I have owned for while and used in other cameras. Same thing happens. I tried 4 different cards. A 4gb SDHC, thought that format was not compatible so switched to a regular SD 2gb. Same thing happened. Also tried Standard SD 16mb & 128 mb. All do the same thing.

I have tried 3 different Sd cards in my Norcent x125 DCS-760 camera. All 3 times I received a ''card error'' message. What can I do to fix this???

Hi,

May i ask, have you formated these cards before putting them into your camera?

If not then the first step is to format your SD card through the camera menu. (Read your camera manual to see how to format your memory card). If this does not help, try another memory card (say the small 16/32mb card that came in the box with the camera). If this card does not display a "memory card error", then the other card is at fault.

Hope this helps,

Karlos

I think my Micro BR is broken

It is either that you put an incompatible SD card in it. (Believe it or not, many devices will not work with certain SD cards), or the card reader has failed. Try a Scandisk SD card or other popular brand and see if there is any difference in the messages. Otherwise I would say the card reader is faulty.
