Im having problems with my camera, everytime i try to take a picture its goes on to standby and i cannot take it off standby, straight after it takes a picture it doesnt save images instead it says camera on standby. ive reset bsettings but i still cannot take standby mode off, also because its on standby i cannot use video.
Another problem im having is battery, i fully charge the battery but within half an hour it the battery is half empty.
Hya i would say that you need to take the fone back to where you bought it as for the battery thats just how mine is and my friends got the same fone and it does the same.

your camera problem has the problem chance. Fisrt you should try with full charge battery. sometime weak battery cause also. Second main pcb does not resetting every time after taking picture.
I hope you luck!
Would you give more detail problem...
I have an 5D with the same problem, It looks like the Anti shake does not initialize properly, The only bypass I found that worked (except for a real repair) is to set the display light timeout for 5 seconds, The standby timout for 1 minute, Turn the camera off, and on again, Wait for 5 sec then the display goes blank, wait for 1 minute then the camera goes in standby, (light from CF card flashed red 1 time) Then touch any button to re-activate the camera and... voila... everything works, including taking normal pictures and the anti-shake !!! So it only takes a minute everytime to startup..
In the first case, if the camera turns off by itself with lens not retracting, try fresh alkaline battery. If that does not work, then the ribbon cable from battery charger to mainboard inside the camera is probably causing the problem. An internal contact can also cause same problem.
If instead pictures are completely black, then there are several possible reasons:
1 There is a setting problem, remove and put back batteries to fix the problem. 2 The camera curtain is stuck and it is not opening. 3 The CCD sensor is faulty, more likely the ccd sensor contacts are broken. 4 The lens assembly has an internal problem.
Apart situation 1 , in all the remaining cases the camera will need repair.
ok honestly our camara type is a ***** they need the perfect batteries and dosent take just any brand chargeable batteries are a waste because our camera will reject them no matter what try a diffrent brand
There's a menu in Options to continue/resume using the camera when it's on standby.
Go into the menu and reset the phone to original settings, (You might loose all your data). Or try switching the phone off and taking the battery out then leaving the phone alone for 1 hour.
go to settings on the fone and press up once and you will see restore
factory settings select it and it will ask for a security code type in
12345 and ok and the fone should work grand......... im chris from dublin
That happens to me once in a while...Just when I feel like throwing in the towel, it starts working again! But I am actually having a problem right now: Even with fully charged batteries, the camera goes into "low battery" mode when I turn it on, and right now I can't download some really important pics...ARGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!
