To change the region perform the following actions: Power on Player /Open/ (/eject/), then on remote /stop/ then /9735/ and then go to /setup/ and choose no region. It should know play all disks. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

Why does the DVD player in my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder say invalid region?

Question edited for clarity.

It means the the car was imported from a different country. or that the DVD Player was bought in a different country to be retrofitted to a vehicle so that existing purchased DVDs can be played.

So, the car was originally bought in Mexico and sold in Canada. Only Mexican DVDs play.

or Car was bought in Canada, and the DVD Players was bought in Mexico so the Mexican family can play the DVDs they had at home.

It is called a Region Lock. Some are fixed, some can be changed once or twice.

I dont know my code i buy my portable dvd dp172bp in dubai, uae now im here at canada and i cant use any kind of dvd because they asking to check the regional code..

Your player needs a region change. You could consult a local dealer on changing it. Check your owners manual if this player has a region change option. You cannot go back and forth between regions. If you need to do that then find yourself a region free player.

HI Im in austrlia.. i bought a 4 disk set tv show from the uk... the 1st two disks work but the ither two say wron region code... it doesnt work on my dvd player or ps3 please help

Different coutries use different region codes Like i am in canada region code 001 and i think UK is 002. It is to control the release of video around the world... like movies in the states come out before the movies in canada. anyway you have to be careful as changing the code on some machines (in the dvd players settings) could only be done a few times before in locksin into the final code inputed thus it will play lets say your uk stuff but not your Australian stuff.

I would research your dvd player specifically and see if it locks itself before changing anything. Good luck

My laptop won't play region 1 dvds, I bought the laptop in the uk and now moved to canada, can anybody please assist me

From Control Panel, click System, Device Manager, click + beside DVD Drive, right click you drive and select properties, DVD Region Tab, and change Region to Canada. You can only chnage this 5 times until it locks on the last change. Look into a program called AnyDVD as it will play Region Free.

My wife bought a TV series on DVD while she was in the Middle East and now that she brought them back to Canada we are not able to play them. How do we deal with this?

Region-free DVD players are sold through various venues.Try playing it in a computer DVD player/burner. Some burners are region-free. Some software can copy your purchased disks, removing the region code in the process.

My player doent accept dvd disc from canada

Your player doesnt play a dvd disc in canada this could be because of region limitations and your remote control has nothing to do with this problem try replacing with new pair of batteries and try again.

Thankyou
