Hi, now instead of telling you how to send messages; I have gone and done you two more things that will make sure you and your phone stay happy together (well until you upgrade at least).
Now this URL I have given you will enable you toget the user manual that pertains to the mobile phone itself; should also have the software driver link to it too. Now the drivers as said, should be listed on this URL address too. You maywish to get these drivers (if you havent already) so you can synchronise your phone to your computer.
I hope that this is the fixya for you, and do please keep me posted on how you get on with this mattter.
There go to settings and from there go to profiles. If there is a seperate icon for profile then enter in it.
There choose a profile option ( like general, silent, meeting etc. )
Enter the option and enter into personalise tab.
There scroll to message alert tone.
Enter in it and then select the one you desire.
Finish.
NOTE:- My instructions will be valid untill you are in the same profile. If you change your profile then to avail message alert beep once the do the above steps again.
THANK YOU if you think I helped you.
open 'profiles'. It will be inside ;menu' or 'settings' option. after selecting profiles, select 'personalize' and chose the new message alert tone from your gallary.... after that activate your profile.. your ringtone has been changed
just go to profiles general or witch ever profile ur using and then personalise then go on message alert tone and click and all ur ringtones for ur message alert tone will come up :)
Message Alert: Go to Menu (four dots button at bottom left of main screen), Settings (cog button), Profiles. Ensure profile other than Silent or Vibrate Only is selected. Hit Menu/List button (bottom left) then Edit. Scroll down (using screen or camera focus ring) and ensure Message Alert isn't set to No Sound and select a tone from Message Tone.
Invalid picture messages: this is likely to be a carrier settings problem - either ring their customer service to get them to send you the settings (and ensure your account has MMS enabled) or download the settings via their web page.
Battery life: Try charging battery for 24 hours straight. Also ensure bluetooth is off if you're not using it. Turn Screen Brightness down and ensure backlight is set to 20 secs max. This will help extend battery life.
Go to Profiles, and choose a Customized Profile. Rename it to whatever you prefer. In this profile you can select your ring tone, message tone, volume, etc. I only had to do this once, and everything worked perfectly!
I just "personalised" the outdoor profile to set the message alert to silent, while still keeping the ring volume on high. I also picked the divert call option so the phone doesn't ring. So I just change the phone profile before I go to sleep and divert my calls. Kind of an awkward solution..I'm considering getting an alarm clock or just using my old phone's alarm clock
pleace go to your phone menu and then select profile and open it then you see ring tone, ring tone volume, massage alert, massage tone, etc open massage alert and off it.
