Zen Vision:M cuts off in middle of songs....

I have a Creative Zen Vision:M that is a few months old and I use Napster to download new music to the player. I have found that when I download music from Napster the music will not play in its entirety. Instead, it will cut off at random points in the music and then skip to another file. I have found recently that some of my original MP3 files also have this problem, but they will play through on my computer, as will the Napster songs. The fix I have found thus far is to redownload each song in question, retransfer the files to the player and hope that works. Half the time, however it does not. This is extremely frustrating as I download several songs at a time and transfer them all (as instructed by Napster) at the same time. When I play them on my player about 90% of the songs will only play 1/4 of the way through before stopping and skipping to another song. Does anyone have any advice for me? I have contacted Napster and Creative and have gotten nowhere. I have updated my player with all of their current links and am at my wits end trying to figure this out. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am having similar problems. My Creative Zen Vision M works fine when I download songs from my old laptop which has windows xp. I got a new HP with windows vista. Transfers songs at an incredible rate but the songs either skip or don't finish. I have loaded the latest firmware. I've talked to tech support but no one has the answer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, reformatted you name it. The files play fine on the computer but not on the mp3 player. I've used Windows Media 11 and Rhapsody to transfer files. I've also used Creatives software they files still skip.

Upgrading Creative Zen?

Go to the Creative support site and upgrade the old MP3 player. The new Player will sync with mediaplayer and you can install music.

Creative zen music will not play on memory card

I also use Napster. Unfortunately with the music being on the memory card and not on the device itself, Napster detects this and will not play music from the memory card.

There are two things you can do to resolve this, the first one won't cost you anything. Move non-Napster music files to the memory card, leaving only Napster music on the device itself. As a Napster-To-Go device, you'll be able to play and sync without issues. The second is to purchase the tracks from Napster that you want on the memory card. Once you do this, you can play them in any compatible media - not just the Zen device.

No license to play/sync license from PC - Zen Creative V Plus

Try putting the songs on your PC if they are not there already. Delete all the songs from your Zen, then reload them.

C cover art does not transfer to my zen vision m, only the music tracks transfer

A few possibilities. Go to http://193.95.171.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=224,E=0000000000373151655,K=1742,Sxi=15,Case=obj(8179),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com/

for more details

Creative ZEN players do not currently support album art from Rhapsody version 4.0.
Album art is either embedded in a track, or exists as a thumbnail image in a separate file, allowing one album art file to be associated with an album. Currently, Rhapsody only supports album art embedded in the track. Future versions of Rhapsody are expected to support thumbnail versions.
Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player 10 or 11 can be used to transfer music purchased from Rhapsody to a player with album art included.

Album Art is supported by Creative ZEN, Creative ZEN V Plus, ZEN V, Vision:M and ZEN Vision players.
The ZEN Vision (PF1150) requires a firmware update for Album Art. You can download the updated firmware:
If you experience any difficulty transferring Album Art with Windows Media Player 10 or 11, to ZEN Vision:M, delete WMPInfo.xml (see below), and then transfer the tracks again.

No license to play/sync license from PC - Zen Creative V Plus

Unfortunately with Napster and Rhpasody (and a few others) you will have to resync every 30 days. The license should renew itself if you connect your player and resync, but i would check with napster's tech support b/c you might have to enable auto-sync temporarily until all of the licenses are updated. Alternatively, you can right click all 306 songs, click on "license" or "digital rights" and click "acquire license" - but that could be a real, time-consuming pain.

If you convert those songs to Mp3 format with an Mp3 converter,, you will never have that problem again.

Downloading music from windows media

Your music files are corrupt, or they are a file extension that the Zen is not compatible with. I recommend you download a few MP3 songs and try to download those, as a test.
