Hello there, the title above speaks a bit on its own. Okay, let me tell how it began in the first place. First, there was a stack of paper in the tray just like always. It was fitted nicely in the tray, so I tried to print a document. Then, the printer tried to roll the paper but the paper was not fed, and end up with a loud cracking sound. And each time the printer calibrates itself now, it creates a VERY LOUD cracking sound repeatedly, furthermore to be followed by the fact I fail to print anything as the status says "Paper jam at toner catridge" although there isn't any paper there. I'm sure of it as I scanned the printer using a torchlight to see the printer looking nice and unscathed. It's still under warranty but I wish to have it solved this way first as I lack the time and transport to get a change. Is it the toner problem or it's the printer? I hope you can help as I may need it urgently. Thanks!
Ok, it is good you checked for paper jams. I need you to look inside the unit where the paper roller is on both sides and see if both sides look even and the same. It still sounds like a jam to me, and this would definitely create a loud sound as your unit is trying to print for you and the mechanism will keep trying to turn even if it can't. Something may snap or break if there is a jam so make extra extra sure you check every nook and cranny as jams can be so very tiny. I found a piece the size of a matstick width in mine that my toddler had posted in it, and it was caught in the paper roller teeth inside the unit. When you open your printer, does the cartridge holder roll by itself to the left or stay still??? Take out the toner cartridge and thoroughly clean inside with solution and replace.
