Hi, Might just be the internal speaker. If it's got provision for an earphone or a headset, give it a try. If likewise no sound on the earpiece or headset, then a couple of possible problems: 1. audio amp; 2. volume control; 3. squelch circuitry; or 4. RX circuitry All involves opening the set and diagnosis. An on site or in service repair is required. Hope this give you an idea or two. Good luck and kind regards.

My tx light is staying on ? so my base station is allowing everybody to hear whats being said in the office to the cars

Check your PTT (push to talk) button on your mic, and also double check the plug where it is connected to the radio. It sounds like your PTT is stuck.

Best regards.

DOES IT HAVE A CALL BUTTON?

It has a PTT (push-to-talk) button. But if you are talking about a button to make a call tone (ringing sound) come out the other radios, the answer is no.

Best regards.

Simple HOW-TO

If your radios are set identical to one another, you simple need to press the push-to-talk button (PTT) and hold it in while talking. Let go when you are not talking, in order for the other person to be able to press their PTT and talk back to you. The monitor button is only for checking to see if other users are talking on your same frequency, and if so, you are to be polite and not talk over the top of them. (So the rules say.)
