My camera seems to not record, although showinh it is with the red indicator light on when I go into record mode. However, when I go to review my footage I just recorded, by swictching to "watch mode", nothing plays at all. The camera is showing it is playing, but nothing shows up on the screen, making me believe that nothing is being recorded. I havent had this problem before and wondering if there is somehow a solution to this? I thank you in advance, Tyler Haslett

try to clean the video head using a blank new tape and fast forward it 5 times if needed...dont use a video cassette cleaner it will ruin your video head...

SOURCE: Colour problem when recording with Panasonic NV-MX500
Hi, I recently had he same problem, you need to have the unit repaired, it is a small but extremely expensive part that has broken. If my recollection serves me right, it's the colour sensor. There are three that combine the colours to give natural colour. My repairer stated that vibration caused the problems to my camera. Good luck.
