I need to replace the door latch. I have the part, but can't figure out how to take the door apart to replace it.
Chances are the panels separate as shown in the photo I have attached below. Panel replacement can usually be done without removing the door from the microwave. In cases where it is felt that door removal is necessary, I recommend detaching the door from the hinges. I generally do not advise removing the hinges from the microwave. Whenever the hinges are removed, great care must be taken to put them back in the very same position they were in. Failure to do so can cause microwave leakage, which can cause risk of skin burns, fire, and disruption nearby electronic devices. By the way, where did you get the part? I'm trying to find a good Goldstar / LG source to recommend.
Hello
& Welcome to FixYa
If
the fuse is good then the problem is with the high voltage capacitor or the
circuit board itself going bad and needs replacement. If it is a circuit board
then it will cost you around same as new one. Please get back to me if you have
any other questions.
