I have a Kenmore Elite Oasis He modal and it stops in the middle of the wash cycle and a F 51 code keeps flashing. What does this mean and who can I fix it.

You hav to first check whether something is stuck in-between
your outer and inner drum. Un-plug
first. Is the basket moving smoothly, as
in previous washes? If not, there could
be something stuck, and the F51 reading could be correct - strain on motor.
You have to get in to the top of the washer. There are two
clips that hold the front of the top in place - wedge a putty knife against
these (hard) while pulling up to release the top. The top will then swing up as
a piece. It is easier to undo the clips in the back allowing the whole top to
swing completely back and away (having an extra person helps, you don't want to
put pressure on the wiring harness between the base and the top). Next you have
to unclip the cover all around the edges (lifting the tabs) and swing it back.
Take a flashlight and inspect carefully the gap between and under the drum for
any stray items, and remove them. Reverse the process to re-assemble.
This was the most useful post I have found to deal with the problems with my washer. They confirmed that I will be getting an upgraded control panel/board resolving several error code messages. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
My only contribution is to this repair manual, which is for SERVICE TECHNICIANS: http://www.servicematters.com/docs/wirin... Sheet - 8567036.pdf
It was by running the diagnostic test there that I realized most of the repair people who had come to work on the machine were just guessing what is wrong with it, where the diagnostic test lets you isolate the issue. All the error codes, including F1, F51, etc for the Kenmore Oasis Elite HE are found here, as well as the wiring diagram (which one of the repair persons asked for)

Most of the repair technicians are speculating on the problem. The diagnostic test tells you what is wrong. And, if there is a problem with the control board, Sears will do the free "upgrade". They are not calling it a "recall"
SOURCE: Keeps stopping during wash cycle with LF code
This code is representing a long fill situation, have the pressure switch replaced asap. it has failed.

from what i can find out it apears to be the rotor position sensor which seem to be a common fault it apears you need a new board to fix the problem
