Will not turn off

When i go to turn off the tv magic focus comes on (which it is not set to do) i let it run then the picture comes back but no sound. i can't change channels or volume. i press the power button it returns to normal tv. i have unplugged it for hours with the same result each time i even tried the timer same result.

It sounds like the contacts on the on-off relay are stuck on. You can tap the top of the relay cover and that will shut it off (releasing the contacts) For a permanent fix, try taking the plastic cover off the relay and clean the contacts with a file (or just replace the relay)

Some kind of a problem likely in the magic focus area--is the set showing a error on screen if you engage the magic focus?

One thing not to do is disconnect the sensors inside the screen as that could make things worse......

Press the Magic Focus button,will not solved ur tv convergence problems.Ur tv 100% have an convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

U have pictures out of focus?Like pictures colors seperates in lines?Ur tv convergence are dead.U know how solders?Must replaced 2 STK convergnece ICS,and some or all it resistors.Tries websites Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Plenty of Sound, No Picture

You may have to replace the convergence IC's or the lamps. Impossible to say without having a manual inspection. Best bet is to take it in for a service repair..

Sounds like the Convergence Circuit in the TV has failed. Call an Authorized Service Center and have them come out and give you a wtitten estimate B4 repair.

try the focus adjustment knob on the back of the flyback transformer....if that does not work...order a focus block

enter your menu set up and turn off auto focus and see what happens then,also check your other settings while your there.

Won't turn off

Go to the panel (on the tv set), hit magic focus on there....then hold power button for several seconds long. It should go off and fix your problem.
