I have a Kenmore 90 series washer. The problem is that when you start the washer, it gives out a loud sqreaching noise. The agitator works fine. The washer washes fine except for the loud screach. It only happens when the aggitator is on. Any diagnose?

Kenmore 90 plus series washer won't spin, barely agitates, will drain - but makes loud noise

It sounds like the transmission is done. Can't pinpoint what it is exactly, but I would start there.

My washer is making a loud, clicking noise

One of them underwire garments could be stuck in the pump and eating a hole into it.You should take the cover off and take a look at it in motion without the case.

Kenmore 90 series with speed selector switch set to heavy duty cycle it works fine any other setting , regular , hand wash setting the agitator makes a loud clicking sound as it agitates

sounds like a transmition problem. does the noise happen when it goes into spin on the other settings? If no noise in the spin cycle on the other setting, then it sounds like a the gears in the transmition internally when bad for the agitation.

Series 90 washer loud clicking during Slow wash cycles, Fast OK.

Turned out to be a loose electrical connector near the motor.  Plug was re-connected and secured with a zip tie to prevent another disconnect.

Sounds like you have a broken motor coupler. They are inexpensive. Can be a little tough to replace but I can walk you through it. You can purchase a coupler here.
