Engine is cranking, but it wont turn over

My 89 Bronco II wont start. I turn the key and it just keeps cranking and it doesnt want to catch. Is this a spark plug/tune up thing, or should I be looking into the fuel pump?

Sounds like a fuel pump issue turn the key over as if listening to your radio and listen towards the fuel pump it will be the only noise you hear if no noise your pump is bad otherwise if you are gettin noise it could be your fuel filter.

Good for you as you already have an idea.

Check your battery and the starter. It's a minor issue.

89 ford bronco 2 it i turn the key on and it starts then it just dies after 2 sec

I think this may , just may , be a coil failure , the oil insulation breaks down as the heat increases , whuch allows the system to work until the oil reaches it critical temperature
Check the coil !
its a guesolution ?

Starts when turn key but turns off when key is released

Replace the ignition barrel. Inside is a lot of switches that wear out. It could also be the starter relay. Although this is least likely.

I have an 89 ford bronco and it wont turn over

Fords require 10 + volts to activate the solenoid.
A faulty solenoid, weak battery, or bad connections can cause the solenoid to click. Especially a battery with a dead cell that looks like it is charged.
If the solenoid is clicking the neutral safety switch is ok. If you are only hearing relays click, take a test light and check the 16 gauge wire on the solenoid for voltage with the key in start position.
Also jumper that post with the battery post on the solenoid to crank the engine.

The starter on my 86 bronco II flywheel issue

The solenoid on your starter is probably no good. Just get a new starter. Theres no starter that will "grab the teeth better", theres just new ones that work and old ones that **** out

Grinding starter on my 1988 Ford Bronco II

the sound you hear is the starter grinding against broken teeth on the flywheel, for that to be repaired the flywheel on the vehicle will need to be replaced.

Need 2 get truck started

I had a geo metro that sat a long time and the gas turned to varnish. You will need to drop the tank, clean out the gunk, put in a new fuel pump and and filter and flush the fuel lines out to the injectors.
