I have had the tv for three years. The tv worked o.k last night but there is no picture today. The red and green lights are active and the soft clunking noise you get when it is switched on still happens. Also the sound is still good. The screen is totally blank. Any help appreciated.

Hi, Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655. Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen. Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure. Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem. Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years? Thanks.
The color signal consists of Red, Green and Blue. Those three colors, at various degrees, make all the other colors on your screen.
If you have a BRIGHT green screen it's best you don't operate your set. If it's just tinted green then there is a problem on the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) drive board. Do check your "tint" setting and see if someone misadjusted it. If that isn't it then you need to have your set on an electronics bench and get an estimate for repair.
power pack capacitors have failed they will need to be replaced with new ones and that should repair the tv, soldering skill is required to do this or replacement of the entire power pack. hope this helps
