Epson Stylus Photo R300 InkJet Printer Logo

Question about Epson Stylus Photo R300 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Text Size of Copies

Not sure if this is a computer problem or a printer problem! When I highlight text and go to print the copies come out in much smaller text size than the originals. Everything used to be fine up to a couple of months ago. Is there a setting I can alter somewhere?

Yes, check your printers settings under fonts, and choosed a deafult print type that you like, and size.

If this does not solely correct the issue, you can try going to printer properties and check the restore default settings box.

Normal printing is ok but the copies are to light

Change your copy settings from Text/Photo to Text. This will enable perfect 1 to 1 copies.

My printer keeps repeating old subjects, and the print is very small... new inkjets are in.. Nothing else to add... I can't get it to print from my computer... the copies are ok.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "repeating old subjects", but that sounds like a printer queue issue. Try the following, and test printing after each step.
  1. Reset the printer. (instructions here)
  2. Print a self-test report. (here)
  3. Clear the print queue (see here)
As far as the size of the print, you will need to adjust this setting in the application you are printing from...In other words, you have to change the size of the text in the original document.
If you're printing from an IE browser, check the File>page setup options and make sure your haven't checked shrink-to-fit. Otherwise, use the File>Print Preview command to monitor the size of text in the printed material. In the browser, zoom adjustment affects the printed output.
On the other hand in Word, etc, you'll need to Format the font size in the document to change the printed text to a larger size.
(The zoom level adjustment only affects your view of the document at hand).

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

I am making a copy of an article on my computer.

If you are copying from an internet source, file copy the document to your computer. Next step is,
go to your document settings or adjust the font size by highlighting all the text in your document. set to desired font size you want most probably you need 16-18 in size. save it.

Printed font size too small

Most web browsers have an option to change the text size on the page you are viewing. In IE8 it is accessible through the Page menu, Text Size. It defaults to Medium, and there are 2 smaller sizes and 2 larger sizes available.

Print size has changed to very small off internet

Assuming that normal printing is fine, This is due to the size of the print in the email. To output larger print you'll have to copy the email into a document, change the size and then print the document.

I am not getting 100 draft copies per cartridge.

Purchase the 74XL cartridge for 3x the prints. You may want to consider a different printer or laser printer for more cost effective prints and reliability as your printer will most likely wear out before you want with that quantity of printing.

My Brother MFC-465CN is printing text with alignment off and double text.

My Brother printer MFC-465cn is doing the same thing. I have workaround / worked-around it by disabling bi-directional printing. Then print is clear. It's as if the head is shifting an irregular amount on the opposite direction, like the head is loose.

Same for copies. If I use the PC interface to make copies, I can set the copy printing to be mono-directional, then copies are clear.
