My screen is still dim after replacing the inverte

My screen went dim a while back , and on researching the internet i found out that it may be due to either the inverter or backlight. but since my laptop was onle a month old i though it couldnt be the backlight so i bought a brand new inverter and connected it. the weird thing is that when i connected the two ends to the two wire connections from the laptop it came back on perfectly. then i switched it off and screwed on the inverter to the screen and sealed the screen up. on putting it on again same problem as before, no light on screen, and to make matters worse the inverte seems to be 'dead' because if i connect it like before it doesnt even come on now. sorry about the spelling errors i've now connected it to my tv and the resolution is really low, so i cant see what im typing pls help me, guys.

If its still under warranty, get them to fix it, but you may have crushed a wire, or moved something.
does it have a function button and brightness arrows?
check for update on video driver too.

You may have inadvertently crushed or pinched a wire inside the monitor and this may have been your problem all along. Take the bezel around the screen off and see if your monitor comes back to normal. While it is off, look around the area for any signs of damaged wiring. If this was only a month old, why didnt you return it to have it repaired?

My TV screen went out while watching, but the sound remained. At first, turning it in and back on would help. Now the screen won't come on at all except for a brief second when the LG screen pops up.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

The inverter could be faulty. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp that provides the back light. The inverter is located at the bottom of the LCD screen between the hinges.

Hello !

Since the screen is dim, the display's inverter board needs to be replaced.

If you were experiencing discoloration in the screen (pinkish lower light hues) before it failed, that would indicate a CCFL backlight issue. If the screen suddenly went dim on you rather than a slow degradation, the inverter would be indicated.

Hope this helps.

Acer Aspire 5610. LCD very dim all of a sudden.

That sounds just like an inverter problems. There is a slim chance the bulb could be a problem, but I would replace the inverter. It is not too hard to do, no soldering involved.

You have to remove the screw covers on the frame of the LCD frame, and then carefully pop off the frame. The inverter should be on the bottom center of the screen.

Be careful, there is a high voltage in that little baby. Just get the full numbers, and do a search on the internet and buy yourself a new inverter to replace the old one.

Dim Screen

Inverters are really very easy to replace, with most laptops.,,you remove the front bezel plastic which surrounds the lcd screen,,and you will find the inverter near the bottom of the screen near the center, also you can remove the power button cover just below the screen but on the laptop itself , because it may be located there.
depending on various models.
