This could be a minor problem, or a problem that needs attention right away. Many times one of the hydraulic lifters may be sticking or be loose. Try and isolate the noise to see if its only coming from one cylinder head. If so, you can take off the valve cover to see if you can identify anything abnormal with the lifters. Hydraulic lifters do not need adjustment. Some people use a oil additive called ENGINE-RESTORE to reduce symptoms, but I have no experience with the product. Good luck, sir.
