Question about Fedders X Chassis A6X05F2B Air Conditioner
When I plug my Fedders A6X05F2B air conditioner in it just beeps twice but doesn't turn on. The outlet I am getting power from runs my vacuum and anything else I plug into it though. Any ideas? thanks, Jim.
Unplugged unit first. Take control panel out but dont unplug wiring. Cut Firth wire out from the center on the touch pad six wire plug. Cap both ends and plug back in. now unit will run on high cool and turn it on and off by plug and unplug

you dont!!! Only an EPA certified technician can do this. Besides that this is window unit and therefore it is a sealed unit not meant to be recharged. Some newer models allow for this but not this Federers. It probably just needs a good coil cleaning is all, if its losing refrigerant than it has major problems not worth fixing---buy a new one thats more efficient---the energy savings will pay for the unit.

Hi, yes right on you plug, if not, make sure there's voltage in receptacle, check your plug for any damages, your fan should be blowing, it seems to me you have no power in receptacle, check house panel for trip breakers, or you will have to go further, by removing front cover, with power off, and check master switch, sometimes master switch goes bad, if you don't want to go further call mechanic.good luck.

I got it working, but not sure how... I took the covers off, pulled out the control panel check all of the connections and still had the same problem. The response I got from the manufacturer was that I may need a new control panel (no other information). I let it set for a few days and tried plugging it in every other day to see if it would work (to no avail).
Then today, I decided to remove it as it was doing me no good and letting cool air leak out of the house. I decided to try one more time and while holding the ground wire on the casing and pushing the on/off button on the control panel something happened and it turned on!!!! Maybe something on the back of the control panel rubbed on the metal frame or something? That was about an hour ago and I have not turned it off in fear that it may not start again. Good Luck!
my fedders is doing the exact same thing. However, i havent been able to plug it in to an actual wall outlet, only a power source and an extension cord.. Are the two beeps when you plug it in a diagnostic warning to plug it in to the wall? someone not as lame-braned as me please help!
Cleaned the air conditioning unit. Plugged into a regular grounded (two-prongs with ground prong) outlet.
Unit gives two short beeps, and then does not turn on.
Wish to get this fixed, but would rather buy new one if doing random things is only likely to get it fixed.
