Ok seems pretty common but no solution yet. i turn my tv on and all is well and in less than about a minute it fades to blue and i do get audio the whole time. I opened it up and wathced the 3 lamps the whole time and noticed the red & the green lamp fade and turn off while the blue stays on. If i can id rather fix it myself if not i need some serious help. any ideas?

The service manual on page 8 shows how to adjust the Red/Blue/Green screen voltages. To get to the adjustment board, take the front speaker grill off (two screws at the bottom left and right) and set it aside. No need to disconnect any wires. Then remove the plywood board with 4 screws that exposes the screen/focus adjustments. The top 3 adjustments are for focus, and you need not mess with these. The bottom 3 adjustments are for Red/Blue/Green screen voltage rough adjustments. My screen showed red lines, so I had to turn the bottom right adjustment with a philips head screwdriver just slightly until the red gun retrace lines where no longer visible.
Open up the front of the set by removing the speaker screen and the black piece of particle board. on the bottom right you will see 4 knobs. Turn those knobs slowly till the arcs go away. The 3 knobs on the bottom are for color. the 3 on top are for the focus.
First reduse the G2 voltage for the blue c.r.t,and watch if the unit works for longer period (offcource blue colour will be not present). After reducing G2 voltage to blue c.r.t still behaves the same than c.r.t is faulty and you have to replace.
Pls count the red led blinking when it goes off, incase it goes to std by mode.
