Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ )
set it up as follows:
Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.

The camera, if Installed Properly, it will come up and show a video picture.
Then, on the bottom of the page click save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and hear you.

Our Garmin Nuvi 780 is new and worked fine the first 2 times we used it. However, it will not give us the voice instructions now and we can't find instructions to reset or correct the problem. The online...

You can check "settings", then look for the picture of "lips". This is the language area. I always just select American English. You can set whatever you like. Also, check your volume setting. Just touch the "speaker" on the main screen and up will come the volume. Increase to a level you like. I use 90 percent.

Problems connecting my acer laptop with tv

Sound and picture are two seperate things unless you use an HDMI cable so lets just deal with the picture first
After you do the connection, you need to tell your laptop to present the picture to the TV.
1- On your keyboard, one of your function keys (F1, F2 etc.) will have a short cut for this as a secondary functionality. Check for the function key that has an icon on it that looks like a screen (usually it is f4 or f7). Then hit the key that activates  your secondary functions and the key you just identified. This should activate the VGA output and in most cases will also give you a configruation screen (where you can select it as a secondary display, dual display etc.)
If this short cut doesnt work, you can try this
2- Make sure VGA cable is connected on both ends. Right click your desktop on the computer and select "Properties". On the new dialog, select the last tab "Settings". Click the drop down box under "Display" and you should see the TV as the secon option, select it. Then select the check box that says "Extend my display...", click Apply and OK. This should expand your screen to the TV, you should now be able to drag windows from your laptop's screen to your TV's.
Good luck! (Instructions on option 2 are for XP, if you use Vista let me know and I will look up the terminology for that)

Dark LCD

Is it possible that you've gone into M (manual) mode and the shutter speed is fast and a small aperture (large number) been selected? Or has the Exposure compensation been adjusted to be -2? Does it do the same thing in fully automatic mode? It certainly sounds like some setting has been adjusted incorrectly.
