We are on our second washer and are experiencing the mold smell again. I have heard that you need to keep a front load washer open, but I know my brother has the same and does not do that. Our clothes smell like mold if we leave them in there for even just 5 minutes after the cycle is done. I have done a bleach cycle with the hottest water, but within a few day it is back. The last time water leaked into the casing of the machine and mold was there. HELP!!!!
Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put in the powder's drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and move out the bad smell. Good luck!

Water accumulates in the rubber gasket just inside the door. I wiped mine with paper towels and took out a lot of nasty black residue - lessened the smell a bit but I'm sure water is accumulating in the bottom of the washer as well. Even after completely drying the detergent drawer and the gasket, if I close the washer door it becomes rainy with condensation in a few days!
