Using a sony dvd rw dw-q30a burner.
Certain brands of disck have worked in th past, the stopped working at all. Trying to use TDK DVD+R DL, but the burner never works. The disk remains blank, according to an analysis by a program to tell just that. Primarily use DVDFab Platinum. Treid changing settings, but that didn't work. Other burning programs don't work, either, so I assume it's the burner.

please that the DVD is properly burnt. after burning try it in your pc first and then on your 360 and if the problem persist then check the format of the file that youf 360 supportsand if everything is ok but no solutionj works the consult a technician.
the dvd writer needs to be replaced, the laser is faulty or miisaligned, the cost of a repair is no longer viable because a new one would cost about $60 (Ā£32.00)
It sounds as if the drive needs cleaning and re aligning with a lens cleaner or replacing, but try one thing before doing anything.
Go to my computer>properties>hardware>device manager and look down the list for your cd/dvd drives and click the '+' sign then highlight your dvd drive and right click to delete.
Restart the pc and windows will find the drive again automatically and install the drivers.
You can firstly try this:-
Go to my computer>properties>hardware>device manager and look down the list for your cd/dvd drives and click the '+' sign then highlight your dvd drive and right click to delete.
Restart the pc and windows will find the drive again automatically and install the drivers.
But it may well be that your laser will need re aligning and cleaning with a cd cleaner, but if still no change the laser is on it's way out, I am lead to believe some burners have dual lasers for dvd and cd
