Records on right channel only so only get music from right speake

Player seems to only record on the right channel. meaning i only get music from the right speaker. is there a reason?

If you are recording from an outside source check the connections are good. If it does it from both IE dubbing and external it is possibly that a wire has detached from the head of the record head. The other likely source is the record amp inside the deck. Trace the leads from the Tape head (recording one) and see if you can locate a switch, these can get dirt on the contacts and cut out channels (clean with Servisol video 40). It could also be the electronics especially the amp chip!
If not then the head itself may have gone.

I have a Kenwood KR V6090 tuner amp. Can anyone please tell me if I need a record deck with or without a pre amp fitted.
Hi. Some amplifiers provide power for a record deck (or you mean a vinyl record player). Some vinyl record player have their one amplification system, some don't. Those with the amplification system work fine on older amplifiers but others require a back-up power, like a transformer to provide power for the record player. You need to enquire with the store person on the type of record deck or record player you can use directly with the V6090. I had an early Pioneer Amplifier and a matching record player so that I could play the vinyl disc and LP's on full volume. Later I switched to digital Pioneer 7 channel. This couldn't accept the record player because it did not have a power substitute like the older Pioneer. So, when the record player plays, no signal is being sent to the amplifier and therefore, no music is heard, except from the needle.

How do I attach and play a technics record deck to a technics DV250 amplifyer?
The problem you are facing is that the record player audio outputs has a left channel, a right channel and an earth or grounding cable. If this grounding cable isn't attached, you are likely to get a hum sound. I would suggest buying a record player RCA (Ground simulating) cable or you will have to buy an inexpensive mixer that supports record players through which you can channel this record player. Once you have all these, just follow the white and red color coding to attache the right channel to the right socket.

Recording problem
1. Press and hold down the ASSIGN A button (the light should be blinking) then (simultaneously) press the REC button above channel number 1. The light should blink when you do this.
2. Release the ASSIGN A and the REC button
3. Press the REC button above channel 1 (the light should be blinking by itself)
4. You should see the meters moving with in the display above Input A and Track 1 when you speak into the microphone.
5. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
6. Press and hold the RECORD button and press the PLAY button. The REC light above channel one, the PLAY light and the RECORD light should become solid.
7. After recording press the STOP button.
8. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
9. Press the PLAY button.

Hi , My cdr 830 stopped recording at maximum fidelity, and most recently all data disappears upon finalization, the prompt reading "new disc" after recording a whole 70 plus cd. Frustrating...
I can't speak to the hardware issues that might be at play here but I would advise you to retain the 'bad' recordings. I've copied unfinalized CD's from an old DVD player. It will read the CD but you won't be able to manuever around the tracks. As I recall, the track marks will still be there.

I don't know what you mean by 'maximum fidelity'. The CDR records at the CD standard of 44.1kHz. Digital is all ones and nones. Just data. If it is written correctly or with tolerable errors the ADC of the player (ANY player) turns it all into music.

Players and recorders are funny about the way they label their out/inputs.
To record, channels may only mean that the source and the recorder need to talk on a specific channel. Most devices used to be on channel 3 or 4. It has since expanded. The detection is usually automatic.
If you provided model numbers of the to and from equipment, i could be more specific.

Can't read blank disk in record drive?
Well, yeah, it's blank, right?

Or do you mean it won't accept a blank CD-R for recording?

You have to use blank CD-R Audio or CD-R Music CD's in a home CD recorder. It will not record on data disc media but it will play almost any CD with CD Audio music on it.

Music files MP3 or WMA
Music transfer can be made seeing the player as a USB mass storage device in Windows Explorer, exploring the drives on "my computer": the player should show up as a drive letter with about 2 GB of memory.

The files must have the format and extension as shown on page 17 of the manual:
• Compression format: MP3 / mp3 (8-320 kbps
and VBR; Sample rate: 8, 11.025, 16,
22.050, 24, 32, 44.1, 48kHz),
WMA / wma (64-320kbps)
• ID3-tag support: Song title and artist name

Transferring songs from the computer to the player
After exploring the appropriate music files on the computer, the songs can be dragged and dropped to the memory of the player: read the blue
tips on page 11 of the manual.

Always disconnect the player safely after transfers, see point 3.4.1 of the manual on page 11.

Audio CD converting to mp3 / wma format: RIPPING
When wanting to convert audio CD's to files that can be played on the player, you could use Windows Media Player 11 or MusicMatch Jukebox using the RIP utility.

  • For WMP 11: update your Windows operating system.
  • When using XP MusicMatch Jukebox 10 can be downloaded from next site:
http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/MusicMatch_Jukebox/4-277-1.html
Right click on the download file under Soft32 Mirrors and select "Save target as..." Rember the download location for executing the file later, having the MusicMatch Jukebox installed.

your musical instruments seems not supported by the audio card your using for your laptop. you need to have a higher end of audio card for the musical instruments to be recognize.

When i record my vocals its only in one channel why!
Hi,

It seems that the recording input source is provided as "Line In" whereas you need to select the "Mic In".
This is because the "Line In" is a stereo input and expects input for both right and left channels whereas the "Mic In" input is a mono input which is the same as our default condensed mic device is.

By the way, you would be able to see the graphic VU meters while recording, weren't they displayed that the recording is done only for one channel ?
Always use VU meters for checking the levels for recording, they are available with almost all recording softwares.

Dmr-es10 dvd recorder - cant get the machine to record digital channels form tv
Channels 1-5 are I believe for Analogue reception. To record from my digital Freeview box, I'm plugged into SCART port 2 (bottom most port on right hand side of machine as you look at it from the front). Use your remote to change the channel to A2 with the <CH> rocker button just above the video+ button on the controller. This will then record whatever channel your freeview box is set to - the only pain is you can't watch a separate channel whilste recording.
