Make sure you call your service provider and have them send you the sofware to install on your phone to do it.

Samsung D900 spare phone no serv. provdr wants PUK code

The PUK is associated to SIM card, and not to the phone. Just put a new Orange SIM card on the D900.

If the D900 is locked to Orange and your friend want to use a different SIM on it, that that can instead be done at any local phone shop for a small fee.
