Game softwere has been currupt and my phone totely hanged.

The memory card might have got currupted! Try it again and do a format from your own cell....you will lose all data stored but atleast the memory card will work again. In other case try using a card reader and connect it to your PC and then you can download your data atleast which is important.

You should never remove battery off your phone without switching it off properly... chances of getting software curruption!

could be a few things. currupt hd (doubt it) to many downloads in the download que. your router could be clocking the ports needed? if this never happened before then its not the router if your account is not in good standing it wont work. if you tried any of those above

Clear your cache and attempt to re download the update.

To clear the system cache 1.Go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
2.Select Memory.
3.Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.

4.Select Clear System Cache.
5.When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, hit yes

Go to menu and select phone book or contacts then select or press ok in that go to options menu again select copy from phone to sim or sim card then press ok within 2 menates your contacts will copyed phone to sim card.

save your contacta and important file to your mmc or backup and hard reset your phone

If your Gears of war 2 is freezing there is a couple things to try, first try to look in your saved games for a currupt file. if there is no currupt file you can also clear the cache

1. Reattach the Xbox Hard Drive.
2. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
3. Select Memory, and then press the Y button to view the device options screen.
4. On the Xbox 360 Controller, press the following items in this sequence:
   • X button
   • X button
   • Left bumper
   • Right bumper
   • X button
   • X button
5. When you are prompted to confirm system maintenance, press the A button to select Yes.

if that does not work. check yoru disc for scratches. it could be the disc. Maybe try the disc in another console. If you are still having issue's after all of that call in to support or go to xbox.com for more trouble shooting steps
