SOURCE: My Cub Cadet 2135 PTO won't engage.

i had the same thing happen
found that the on/off switch had come unplugged from the wire harness just below the switch
had to attach the wires to something underneath so the weight did not pull the wires down and taped the two switches together to prevent it from pulling apart
it needs some kind of clip to hold them together
hope that this works for you

SOURCE: electric lawn mower tripped the circuit breaker.

I suggest you check under the mower to see if grass has built up on the under side of the deck. this will cause a drag on the blade that is transfered to the motor and will cause it to pop the breaker. Cleaning the deck should fix it. Good Luck!

SOURCE: electric lawn mower repeatedly trips house circuit breaker

The breaker is tripping because there is a short in the mower electrical circuit -- most likely in the motor winding -- it overheated.

If you have a multimeter measure the resistance (ohms) of the motor winding by putting the meter probes on the two flat prongs of the power cord with the mower switch on. If you get near zero ohms, the winding is shorted -- motor "burned up".

Using the multimeter again, check for continuity between the round ground pin on the power cord and each of the two flat prongs. If you get continuity on either of these, there is a short to the mower chassis. This can probably be corrected without much expense.

My bet is on the motor winding being shorted.

SOURCE: electric pto will not engage

had a similar problem. The engine mount bolt that grounded the PTO black ground wire was loose- causing the pto to work erratically. To see this bolt (13mm i think) you will have to lie on your back and look under the machine. It is above the front steering arm of the right tire. If the wire is dangling you will need a new bolt. Thanks for the previous posts ;)

My Husqvarna LGT 2554 deck hung up on high spot mowing. Turned off deck & mower pushed by hand. Engaged deck, started to mow, wound to stop. Belts fine. Pull up on knob to engage, you get nothing.

The engine runs but the blades do not engage? Make sure the wire connecting the electric clutch is still plugged in. If all is connected and the belt is really fine, there is a problem with either the electric clutch or PTO switch.

Clutch adjustment for engaging dec

You clutch is probably OK. This sounds like some binding in the mowing deck.

  1. Take off the deck.
  2. Clean the underside of the mowing deck.
  3. Remove the belt and be sure all the moving parts move freely. If something is bound, try to free it up with oil.
  4. Replace any bound up bearings. Bearing are a very high maintenance item on a mowing deck.
Good luck.

My lawn mower just stopped working. I was mowing along and it just stopped. It is an electric Black and decker. I was mowing regular grass, nothing complex. It was working fine before that. It is very new...

Open your circuit breaker box. Locate the breaker that has tripped. Turn the breaker OFF (it is in a mid position). Then turn it back ON. Before you do that you need to ask yourself, why did the circuit breaker trip? They trip because of an overload of current. Is something else running on that same circuit, say for example an electric heater or something similar? Depending on the rating of that circuit breaker (15 or 20 amps) you may be drawing too much current. Look for anything else that could be running on the same circuit (only so many outlets can be put on the same circuit). Disconnect or turn off all other devices. Attempt to operate your mower again. If the breaker trips again, then there is something wrong with your mower (electrical short?).

When you turn your mower deck on it comes on and

Very possibly an open or a short in the electrical circuit that controls the power take-off. Inspect the line connecting the switch that engages the deck all along it's length to see if it's frayed somewhere. If the bare wire is contacting metal, you have a short. Very possibly one end is somewhat loose giving you an open circuit. Take the ends off, clean and reinstall tightly.

Cub cadet model LT1045 belt coming off the pulley for cutting deck?

FINAL SOLUTION TO FIX THE BELT FROM COMING OFF LT1045 WHILE MOWING!

I also had this issue with my LT1045 belt. However, I just figured out how to finally fix / re-engineer my LT1045 Cub Cadet from having issues with the belt coming off of the deck while mowing.

Taking it back into a shop for repairs will not work, the belt will just come off again the first time you mow. I am making a YouTube Video to help others like me with this mower issue and will post a link here soon showing how to fix this design flaw.

It took me about an hour to fix but I've got it working now with no problems, minimum vibrations and belt is running cool now! I've gone for 2 months with no problems now. Check back soon for the link!! I expect I will have the video tutorial finished within a week!!
