Have you tried installing a different monitor to your pc to actually find if this is a problem with the monitor or the video output of the pc? If this is not a viable option for you, you might try running a S Video or RCA cable from your video card to a TV and changing the output on your video setting to reflect such.

Also, try a different cable as well.

Ok. Thats good. Make sure the frequency on the display is set to 60Hz. LCD does not like anything much higher than that.

Sounds like your main board is going out. It's cheaper to buy another monitor then fixing it unless you have a warranty.

Blue vertical bar Left side and yellow, red vertical bars are seen both side of screen cause images are not readable

Hello
If the monitor displays these vertical bars, after a service has been done to it, and if LOT has replaced, there is a mismatching problem with replaced LOT and the defelction yoke.

Screen image unstable

Sounds like your screen is set too big for your PC... it may just be a settings issue in your display properties. Right click on your desktop and go to properties, check in there and change resolution and things.

Doesn't seem like bad hardware.. just seems like a software setting is set improperly.

sorry i can;t be more help.

Acer AL2216WBD LCD Monitor Problem

If your computer does not have a video card that supports the correct resolutions for the widescreen monitors, then your picture may get stretched. Much like watching normal tv programs on a an hd set. It will eitther strech or cut off the picture.
Try different settings in you computer display settings.

HP 1730 lcd monitor horizontal glitches on screen. the monitor shows clearly but the screen shakes up and down until it enlarges itself of the screen so you can't see the task bar on thebottom the screen...

find the buttons on the monitor itself,  they control all those things.  I had the same problem myself.  It's not within the operating system --- it's the monitor itself.  It's not display control or any of those things
good luck

The contrast may be to high.
Adjust the brightness and contrast to make it go away but still readable.
if that does not help the FL (backlight) is going and the unit will need to be replaced.
Sorry.

AOC 17"

This seems like a leaky output capacitor. Trace the wire from the deflection coils (in the yoke) that leads to a fairly large electrolytic capacitor (usually less than 1000 uf, 220 or 470 uf and rated at more than 100 volts)Replace with new one. Electrolytics have limited lifespan. Take care when working with TV and monitor. Some large capacitor can retain charges even after the power is off. wait about 1 minute or 2 after pulling the plug before touching anything. Good luck

Elongated desktop and software screen images

Many graphic cards enable you to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees. You could try to post this question again under you graphic card model instead of computer screen model as it is your graphic card that is certainly the problem.
