No picture units just over two years old,was watching tv one morning and after about 1hr,"bang" the picture went,still have control of the unit,and also sound.Need Help,Footballs coming...... Thanks....

Unfortunitly sound is one circuit ,,while all the rest makes a picture. hearing a bang could mean a capacitor exploded, your fly blew up..or even you lost a tube. you need a tech. good luck

I WOULD SAY NO ! THE PICTURE TUBE IS PROBABLY AS MUCH AS THE TV IS WORTH. i had a very nice sony trinatron tv. the picture tube whent on it at about 5 years so I CALLED FOR REPAIR AND THE PICTURE TUBE WAS 2-300 DOLLARS. good-day !

All old DLP tvs have a common design flaw,any time this could happen during the tv existing life,the tv problems is call a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board is dead,the board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.This parts on the tv convergence board,must me replaced,to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

This may not be a picture tube problem, but considering the age of the unit it may be cold solder joints on or near the crt boards. Each tube has a CRT Board attached to the neck of each picture tube. Check these first for bad solder connections, in not then it may be the green tube has finally failed you. Getting tubes for this old of a unit will be very hard. IF it is the Tubes then i recommend you think about purchasing a newer set..

Lamp light?

Your lamp has probably failed. It is an XL-2100 lamp. Are you sure it is only a year old? This is a somewhat older model set. Was it a demo unit? This may explain why the lamp has failed.

philips 52 in projection tv blew over in truck Someone gave me this, said color was a little off. He strapped it down in truck but wind caught it and blew it over. Heartsick, when I got it home I discovered the mirror had smashed. I took it out and put a smaller one in just to see if it would still work. When I was checking it out, I noticed that looking in the blue tube, the fluid looked like it had bubbles in it. Looking in the red and green tubes, I could read "channel unavailable", but not in the blue one. It was just cloudy. After I put the smaller mirror in and turned it on, I was delighted to see it still worked, but when I tried to adjust the convergence of course there was no blue. I checked out the kits at TV RepairKits.com and there are two available. One to replace the chips and one to replace the fluid. Both are $64. Any idea which one it is that I most likely need? I honestly can't afford one, let alone both, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

philips 60pw9363 projection tv will not turn on Hello! everyone I have a philips 60pw9363 rear projection tv that was working fine on thursday morning when i left for work but later that evening i get a call from my wife who had made it home before me & she went to turn the tv on & she said that the tv had a blue C on the screen & the tv stayed on for a moment & then cutoff by itself, she tried to turn the tv back on but got no response;I came home later that evening & took a look at the tv & checked to see if it was plugged up to the outlet & it was then i checked the electrical box to see if it had tripped & it had not. so i grabbed the remote & pushed the power button but no response,so i changed out the batteries with new ones & repeated the same step with the remote but still no response, then i pushed the power switch on the tv & i still got no response. HELP!
