My hadset drpoed on the floor. Not broken. But always its complaining no link to base.Display ok, led lights in base ok, charging fine too, locator flashes but unable to reach handset .I have tried openning power, line, then connecting back, after 20 min charging no luck.
Is there any way for this to force it to register with the base?

Firstly always use rechargeable Alkaline batteries.
If your phone has been working prior to your change of batteries then the problem lies with battery contacts in the phone even when you place the batteries correctly. They are not clean. Clean them with a abrasive cloth. Now fix the new batteries and see if they are being charged.
If still the problem persists then get the contacts checked up for any contact not functioning.
Has anytime the old battery busted/leaked inside the phone????
Make sure your connection to the phone jack is secure. Use another wired phone to make sure connection is good to your phone. Secure connection in back of phone, and plug it in. The base MUST have power to transmit the signal to the handset even if the handset has a fresh charge. Although the handset is normally linked to the bases, check to make sure via the instructions. To determine if the base recognizes the handset, press the "LOCATE HANDSET" button. If the hadset responds, the links is there.
Hope this helps good luck and don't forget to vote!!!
There is a possibility that the battery could not be taking the charge, but typically the light is red while charging and green when done. Sometimes if the is fully drained it can take up to 15 or 20 minutes before the red charging light comes on. Try leaving it charging for 24 hours.
Hi there! OK I know it is little late to response but if someone will google it,
might find the solution, they are still selling it though. I just got
my set as a xmas present so here is the way it works..
First plug the batteries into the headset, there is gonna be small
power in it, however you have to charge it. So connect the small
charging cable into the base unit and the headset and make sure the
switch on the head set is off. Green LED light will appear on the base unit. Let it charge for 16 hours. After is charged you can unplug the small charging cable.
OK now how it works.
The base unit needs to be always plugged-in to the electricity
supply. Connect the audio connector from the base to the e.g. TV, PC,
DVD player, mp3 player... After you plug-in the audio connector red LED light will automatically light on the base unit.
There is is two channels what you can use, that's in case if you have
two of the same wireless sets. So if on the base is set to # 1 the
headset needs to be also on # 1. Then if you have second headset choose
channel # 2 on the base and also on the headset # 2, so they are not
crossing each other.
Now press switch on button on the headset and red LED light will appear. There is nothing wrong with the red light. That's just the way it is..
OK that's it. Adjust the volume on the headset and you should be able to listen to the music.. :)
the steady red light showing when in charger shows that
it is charging. the blinking red light when taken out of
charger or turned on and off means it is not fully charged.
leave it in charger till red light turns green.
