When I place a game disc in my Xbox - it says "you can't play this disc becauseof the current parental control setting. Remove the disc to continue".

Boot the xbox without any disk in the drive, go to settings and then parental controls if your parents have set a special code you'll have to ask them what you can do. if your older and dont have a mommy or daddy running your xbox, i appologize in advance

    if all the above doesnt work
    try this
    Go to "Settings" and highlight the "Parental Control" option. Press X, Y, L, X, at the passcode screen to reset the parental control setting to the default value.

Firstly, only Xbox Live Gold members can play games online. Assuming the profile you're using is a Love Gold member, bear in mind that changes to parental settings take take awhile to take effect. Try back periodically. If you still cannot play BO online by this tome tomorrow, you should contact Microsoft customer support.

I think you got banned from the live network. If you run "backup" games they can ban you.

Parental contolled locked. I bought a used xbox and I need to reset the parental controls to play video games.
Here is the procedure to
GA_googleFillSlot("TL-IMU-Article"); reset the parental lock code:
  1. From the XBOX dashboard screen, go to settings and then parental control.

  2. When prompted for the password, perform the following sequence using the XBOX controller: X, Y, Left Trigger, X.

  3. Enter in a new password, or disable parental control entirely.

My parents forgot parent control password now i cant play any games
Why would they put parent control on it in first place. I'm sure they are only telling you that they forgot the password so you wouldn't be playing on it so much anymore, because they don't want you to play on it so much. I'm pretty sure they didn't forget.

ok dont worry, this is an easy fix. some xbox's come with parental controlls already set. go to your xbox 360's dashboard and go to the very last tab and go to parental controlls and just set all of the controlls to the lightest settings and it SHOULD let you play on xbox live unless you have MULTIPLE PROFILES with parental controls already on.

Cant remember parental control code.
All Details Below On How To.





Turn off your 360 Unit

Remove all memory devices

restart 360 Unit

go to system blade > Console Settings > System Info

press

left trigger, right trigger, x, y, left bumper, right bumper, up, left bumper, left bumper, x.

This should bring up a menu


Reset System Settings


Resetting your system settings
will return all console settings to
factory defaults. Do you want to
reset to factory defaults?

Yes, reset settings
No, don't reset settings

select to reset settings

your screen should go blank for about 2 seconds

then the language blade should appear that lists several different languages,

select your preferred language

then a blade that says "Xbox 360 Storage Device" should appear

With the options of,

Done
Continue without one

select to Continue without a profile

Then an Initial Setup Complete screen should appear

with the options of,

Family Settings
High Definition Settings
Xbox Dashboard


select Xbox Dashboard

Now turn the system off, insert the Memory Unit or Hard Drive, and turn the system back on.


No more Parental Control lock.

He either set parental settings to which you cant play online, or he disables your wireless internet connection.

1. Reconnect your xbox 360 console to your wireless network.

2. Check your parental settings and make sure they are set to your likeing.
