My sony Ericsson C902 screen has two black lines running accross the screen. I did drop it about 2 months ago but it was fine afterwards and since that I have not dropped it again. The lines were there after charging 2 days ago.

The C902 is a camera phone by Sony Ericsson.
If you purchased your C902 with a cellular plan, it would be locked to your company's network and can only be used with that network.
If you want to switch networks and continue to use your C902, you have to get it unlocked from the current network.
The simplest way to unlock your C902 is through remote IMEI unlocking.

1.Obtain the unlocking code for Sony Ericsson C902 from your network's support desk.
You can call them up and talk to a customer support representative.
Request the unlock code and give them the phone's IMEI number.
As an alternative, you can purchase the unlock code from the websites such as Unlocking,
FonesZone or UnlockItNow.
You will need to provide the IMEI number on the websites.

Close all applications to reach the standby screen of the phone.

Press the left direction key on the navigation pad.
4.
Press the * (asterisks) key twice.
5.
Press the left directional key once again. You will see a menu titled "Personalize."
6.
Select "Network" in the menu. Select "MNC2" in the second menu that appears.
7.
Enter the unlock code you obtained in Step 1 and select "OK." This will unlock the phone.

did you drop it in water? you may just need a LCD

You can try doing this, turn on the Tv and select the service menu, if that tint also shows on the menu, it's most probable to be your DMD board, but if it doesn't it might be the video board..

there is a chip (cam) and a software that they can comminicate. it looks like they cant. need to get service.

try installing the latest software on the phone from te sony ericsson website, this usually works

hmm.. i have a sony ericsson w580i and i dropped mine in a lake a year and a half ago, after 3 days of airing it worked just fine. My situation may just be a fluke but i would need more details to find a solution to your problem, such as why would you think your phone has water damage?

We have aKDF-E42A10 for a bout 2 yearsnow and we now have 13 horizonal lines across the screen, they look like small square dotted lines across the entire screen from top to bottom. It be gan acouple of months ago as 2 of these lines that seemed to move up the screen. I called technical support and he made it sound like he never heard of the problem. I am very upset with sony right now. Anybody know how to fix the problem?ricedog

If you only bought it 2 months ago it will be under warranty
You should send it back to be serviced as it sounds like a faulty LCD and it will need to be replaced
