The television will not come on after a toddler mashed a button. I took the tv to a repair shop and it has been there since the end of May 2007. The repairman needs a service manual in order to troubleshoot and possibly install the part that he ordered. Does anyone have a service manual?

Re: Mitsubihi projection 52 inch television
Boy that is easy to fix for me. the button is mashed in making it always on and the micro-proccor does nothing but looks at that command.
you need a new button assemble and it screws in
but what button is it If remote works tear it out its just a plastic piece and get your set back to house while waiting on part ,cover the hole with tape.

These Units have had a lot of problems with bad capacitors all over the Main Chassis. Most of the repairs are fixed correctly by sending the Main Chassis to Mitsubishi for them to refurbish it. In order to do this a Qualified Mitsubishi Repair Facility would need to come out to your home and remove the Chassis and send it Mitsubishi. The repair cost normally runs around $800.00 to $900.00. I would all Mitsubishi and see if they would be willing to help with the repair cost. Their Customer Service # is 1800-332-2119.
They should also be able to get you in touch with a local Service who can help out.
I hope this helps,
Most likely the Horizontal output transistor has shorted. When it shorts it causes the power supply to chirp. This is a common problem with this series of TV. Have a shop check it out. It should not be real expensive.
thi set will need repair , one of the circuts in the power section is failing and will need test to determine the exact cause of the failure, you will need to call your local electronic repair shop to come and take the board out or they will fix it there
if you need anymore assistance don't hesitate to ask
It could be a failing tac switch or the micro. The only way to tell is signal trace the switch circuit with a 20mhz scope.. Need a shop for that if you don't have the equipment and it's not terribly expensive...
Footnote: either failure can and usually will get worse over time and may infect other function, vol,ch, power and so on... Find a reputable shop and take it in.. If you have any problem location one let me know..
