you will need to reset the d-link router then re-configure your router again. however, you will need to be hard wired to do this re-config of your dilink router. either your O.S or your router may not let you re-config unless it is hard wired to it its a safety thing built into both.

Wireless mouse on Dell PC stopped working.
when you change batteries, sometimes the wireless hard. config. is lost or changed, so you need to config again, so i find a microsoft site, the are some pdf files, who help you to enable all again.

My wireless router doesn't seem to be working although lights on it suggest otherwise. I unhooked the router cable that goes to the computer and hooked it into my modem in order to at least get some...
so the router has no control. Because you dont have any passw defined on wireless and everybody using your internet connection, and you pay the bill.
so to gain control, of your router , needs to have all internet provider config, on paper before reset router. there a reset button on the back. press for more than 5 sec, until the lights off\red. then go ie and type 192.168.1.1 then enter router site with user: is blank and passw: admin. go 1st wan config. with your internet provider config. and change all router passw even wireless (use WPA2 encription level) and save config on hd and reboots router.

Have billion bipac 5200n installed on pc aiso servicing 2 wireless laptops . intalled a wireless - g usb adapter (netgear )on 2nd pc now laptops cant access net , saying invalid password any help...
dear sir good day please do reset the device from the sided reset button and the put in the settings for it and make Mac address filter from the wireless management tab and put a pass work on the sec tab so no one can get into your device and use it or bypass the settings ... thank you

I brought a Laptop (acer) I need to connect to my network but I can't remember my password. How can it get into the router to see what it is. I've called Linksys but they want to charge me 29.99
there a reset button on the back to reset config. so you must have all the router config backup on paper.

to reset router:
1st the router manual, needed for config.
2nd backup router config.(on paper)
3rd press the reset button more than 5 sec. until all lights were off (except on)
4rd reed manual the steps for 1st time config.
then config router again, and test internet connectivity and wireless security level (WPA2), change all router passw every 30days or less.

Linksys compact wireless-g usb adapter won't install
It appears that the Windows service WLAN Auto Config was stopped due to an unknown reason. After re-activating this service I was able to install the wireless usb adapter 100% correctly. The Windows service WLAN Auto Config can be found if you run the program msconfig.

I just purchased a Dell Latitude 6500 laptop and I can't connect to my home network. I am using an Intellinet router.
hi! there is no problem with your internet connection with your router but the problem is your dell lattitude wont connect to the wireless network, please try to disable your dell software for connecting to wireless network and just use the windows wireless zero config, check the on the taskbar on the lower right of the monitor, there is an icon for the wireless connection for dell, right click it and select disable, sometime there is an option that windows will ask if you want to turn on the wireless zero config..if it didnt ask, click onn start, run and type in service.msc then it will show the services go to the buttom portion and enable the wireless zero config..

Cisco 1242ag broadcast multi SSID issue
It stops broadcasting the SSID? Make sure it's configured to broadcast the SSID firstly... secondly, test whether it is actually working but just not broadcasting the SSID.

Set a client PC to the same SSID and get all the parameters identical (encryption, user/pass etc). Try connecting again. If it connects then it's just the SSID that isn't working... if there is no joy, then it is just the SSID that isn't broadcasting, not the whole AP.

Also, enable some debugging for the radio0 while it is not working. It might shed some light.
