New gear drive cog needed for c505pz shredder please

I probably have these gears. Would need more information such as model number and serial number.

I have the same problem. The gear that the motor drive shaft touches has been shredded to pieces. when contacting the second gear. The secondary gear is plastic and absolutely WILL shred itself to pieces over a short lifespan (<5yrs) because metal vs plastic is a losing combination.

If the motor runs but the cutting shafts do not turn then most likely a gear has been broken/stripped inside. You will have to open it up to see which gear and then contact the manufacturer for parts.

Hi you should buy new shredder because you will not get the plastic part easily and usually they do not be replace.

Throw it out and buy a new one! staples won't replace this unit and your gonna have to take it apart and clean the gears.
Also tell your employees to stop reversing the drive gears with paper inside the bucket it only reverses the flow and jams the unit.
I would buy a cross cut shredder next time.
