Language Hi I bought a new sony vaio model no. VGNFE52B/H from japan. it is loaded with japanese vista. the systen is loaded with all the latest software of sony vaio.Now please tell me how do i change it to english version without deleating the existing vaio softwares. please advice

You need the english.mui goto microsoft website and get all info on this one but be prepared to reinstall windows vista in english as all programs will be in japanese get all programs for laptop first then do it I've searched on web about the vista but not much luck. good luck on this one.

Dsc-tx9 japanese language only

Pretty sure you should be able to put in some new firmware, but I can't find any hint. Not in the manual, not with Sony.
Perhaps you should register the camera, and contact Sony with the question how to change the firmware so you have multi language. Just tell them you got the camera as a present from your friends (associate or what ever) from Japan but you can't work with the language.

Change language from japanese to english on NEX-5N

You absolutely cannot select any other language on Japanese domestic SONY models. The professional line up of camcorders come with an English selection in the menu, but not the consumer models.
Suggestions by well intentioned but ill-informed people to follow the menu in the English user guide, will not get you anywhere. The Japanese models do not include this item in the menu. Plain and simple.
Visitors to Japan should be careful when purchasing items here as they more often than not only include Japanese manuals. SONY and Panasonic also only include English menus in their cameras. Canon and Nikon do have an English selection, but this should be confirmed at the point of purchase not after returning to your country!! Furthermore, warranties are usually only valid for Japan.

Brought a sony vaio NS series notebook that all of the writing is in japanese need to get it to english or change to default settings

If you are using windows then

Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button , clickingControl Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

Sony cameras in Japan only have Japanese now it seems. To get English you need to buy an international model for an extra price.

I am afraid,that Panasonic in Japan provides only Japanese language for the Japanese market. English or any other language is only included for the models aimed for export

most of the nv-gs50 cannot support multi-language (i.e. the ones manu/bought in japan).

you may be able to find a firmware update, but i would not recommend it---i.e. you are stuck with japanese
