My x box 360 has the dreaded ring of death my warranty has gone because my younger brother pulled off the warranty sticker while i was changing the face plate :(... i have read about the cpu clamps needing replacement but i can not do this is there any other way of fixing my xbox without having to use tools to remove the clamps??? I have tried wrapping it in towels and that does not work either please could you try to help me :) thanks in advance.. Mark

Yo leave it turned off or about 1 week and it will work again iv the the ring od death like 8 times

This is a longshot and may be too helpful, used 360 consoles are selling for less than 200 bucks,,, but this sounds like lense or HDD failure microsoft probally could fix it for you but youd be responsible for the repair bill
