RS21 DCNS FRIDGE COOLING FAULT

Hi, I have a 2 year old unit, the freezer is working fine however the fridge is not cooling to the required temp. It flicks between 13' & 3', the water dispenser also stopped working at the same time. I rectified that problem but have no idea with the fridge. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

There is a fan behind the plastic. This distributes the cold air throughout the fridge. What happens is this fan stops turning due to freezing up. A temp solution is to unplug the samsung for 6-12 hours to allow the ice to melt from around the fan. This is a known design fault. It is easy to dismantle the plastic cover and defrost the frozen fan with a hair dryer, this way the fridge will only be off for about an hour

Is your freezer fan blowing and make sure there in nothing covering any of your return vents in the frig.

Two things to check: 1.) Check to see if condenser coil is clean, it may be packed with dirt. This is the coil located under the refrigerator. 2.) The defrost heater may have burned out causing the breaker to trip. This heater is located on the evaporator coil located inside the refrigerator.

if you a have samsung model
SRS 2026 2027 2028 OR 2029 , then you probaly need to fit the rs21 repair kit - as the srs models are the earlier version of rs21 - and suffers from the same isssues .

there is an extra component you will need as well as rs21 kit - if you look under most of the videos there is a ebay link which takes you to ebay shop where you can pruchase samsung spares

Hi, there is a known fault with the Samsung RS21 units. If you unit is less than 5 years in luck, it is covered by the Extended warranty they have put in place. Apparantly this was featured on BBC watchdog!. i've had the same problem and had it fixed free of charge by Samung. Either raise a service request on the Samsung uk web site, www.samung.com/uk or call the customer services on 0845 7267864 and explain you description. the noise is an ice build up which stops the internal fan pushing cold air around the fridge. the bootom of the fridge , in the drawers is cold?

Samsung twin cooling fridge/freezer model Rs21dcsv Fridge temp control led display digit flashing and fridge not at right tempreture
My husband removed the covers inside the fridge which contain the lights and the cooling fan. The problem was the icing up of the cooling fan (which circulates the cold air) preventing it from rotating also the drain hole at the bottom of the fan was also iced up.
The fridge was switched off at the wall socket whilst working on it. After removing the panel containing the fan and unplugging the connection take the panel outside. A hair dryer was used to thaw out the ice. The drain hole was made slightly bigger to hopefully prevent this happening again.
When panel is screwed back in fridge make sure the black sealing tape is in position also take care not to damage cooling pipes which are attached to the evaporator unit. Defrosting a couple of times a year might prevent this happening again. It seems to be a design problem which im sure the makers will be aware of and modify future appliances. Q Will the makers repair this problem free of charge even if the warranty has expired !?

-Did you increase the temperature control knob to the higher number ?
-If not then do so. Increase to higher see what it'll do.
-If you already did to any number but still not cold then a New One
