Rotation of Samsung SyncMaster 2243BWX

We bought this screen on the basis that it would rotate to portrait view. When connected, we installed the driver and went to install the Magic Rotate software. However, as we have a machine with Vista, had to download the Vista version. When we went to install it, the menu to rotate came up, allowed us to select it but nothing happened. After reinstalling the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling the Magic Rotate software and calling Samsung, it still doesn't work.
We have now been told by Samsung that the Video Card Driver in the monitor may not be compatible with the Magic Rotate Software. Samsung technical support, however, could not tell me what video card was in their monitor and the retailer doesn't have that information either.
Can anyone help with:
- finding out what the specs of the video card in the monitor are; or
- how to get the Magic Rotate software to work!!

Thanks!

They mean the Video Card that you are using in your PC.

Right Click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Display Adapters.

And there is your display adapter.

They are referring to the video card in your COMPUTER, not the monitor. There is a supported list of cards at http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitors/magictune/magicrotation_06s.htm

There will be buttons on the front of the monitor where you can change the position of the screen, you could also do this in the display driver on your macbook although I couldnt tell you exactly how on that particular mac, pretty sure the menu onthe monitor will get it sorted though.

When closed, the multi-swing display also ensures carefree portability by protecting both the lens and the LCD screen. The IR-500 is the first Olympus camera to feature a multi-swing display with 360° rotation capability. It is especially useful in Self Portrait Shooting.
