Ebay setting? What a nightmare. Just got my camera. Ordered on internet. I kept reading in comments about ebay setting...I can't find it..and the online manual has no navigation by topic index. I'm having a hard time getting started with this unit. Were there any made early on without this ebay setting? Seems I saw a bunch of icons on the screen of the camera during a demo...but darned if I can find that again! My silver unit was from TechToys for less. It was priced $50 less than the black one of the same model...have there been revisions already? Thanks from a rookie..last digital was a Sony which finally croaked.

thanks for the info,most helpful...I am still working my way through many questions...but will try to get through the manual at least once before posting again! What a relief to have somewhere to go--keeps the blood pressure down! I knew I had seen "ebay" on the store camera, I had found "auction" on mine, but it really made me wonder if they had sent me an older model or what. I haven't figured out the camera to pc move yet...it doesn't happen the same way as my old camera...but it's neat that it somehow keeps auction photos in sep. file

You can download the manual from the link below: http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/qv/en/EXV7_DI_e.pdf See page 98, "eBay" or "Auction" is a "Best Shot" setting that you can choose to set up the camera for optimal results for a particular scene. Only US cameras have this "feature" I believe. Check the picture below, I hope it makes some sense, Casio's description of this is very poor. A new one can be ordered through your video camera shop. Or probably a lot cheaper and quicker through Ebay. I've seen them for sale for around $10. Just make sure it's the right one for your camera. Buying one from a shop can set you back close to $100 depending on the model.

When I try to turn on my camera (Samsung Digimax S500), it beeps 3 times.

My Samsung S500 kept shutting down (with lens extended but no beeping) as soon as it was turned on. After reading similar problems being caused by a jammed lens mechanism, I GENTLY twisted & tugged the extended lens mechanism (no crude comments please), and it worked the next time it was turned on.

Help me with my chinese N95

You need to get the Settings for Internet/Wap and MMS from your Network Service Provider. These settings are usually sent as a text msg. When you receive the msg. choose save or install on your phone. Or get the settings directly from their website. The MMS service doesn’t always work between networks.

To activate the front camera, select Options > Use
secondary camera.

Factory settings
To reset some of the settings to their original values, select
Factory settings. To do this, you need the lock code. See
‘Phone and SIM card’. After resetting, the device
may take a longer time to power on. Documents and files
are unaffected.
If you reset the phone you'll have to reload the Wap/Internet/MMS settings.
