Question about SanDisk Sansa m230 MP3 Player
I have music files that I would like to delete from the Sansa M230. However, they are not listed in windows explorer or WMPlayer. Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. Thanks Del
Okay since none of these suggestions had any real help I tried searching for ways to get the songs deleted and found this...
In WMP 11 I found no music and the format selection was grayed out.
In Explorer there were no music files listed.
Searching for all the options and such that were suggested I finally found this: Close WMP and go to My Computer and right click the Sansa drive: Select format from this list which will wipe out the whole drive and then go to Sync in WMP and set up your sync and you should be good to go.

I was having the most difficult time too with this. With the new windows media player 11 I think I switched the setting from MSC to Auto Detect which shows up as MTP on the player when its plugged in and POOF all the songs appeared on the song list under the sansa m230 catagory.

Change the settings of the player to MSC and connect the device to your computer. It will be detected as a removal disc drive. Open it and it should contain the folders in your player. IF you can only see a few folders. Click on Tools-Folder Option - Show hidden files and folders. Then you should see the folders that you have. Right click on the song and choose delete.
