First - re-seat the hard
disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and
go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it
doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs
to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or
laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning
computer/laptop again.
Plug in the AC power cord, remove the battery, and try powering up. Anything? Any lights?
Remove power cord, hold in the power button for 30 seconds, then try plugging it in again and powering up without the battery. Any change?
Hi. Latitude C600 was introduced in ~2000. 700Mhz CPU was then upgraded to 850Mhz the same year and 1Ghz in 2001. The series was discontinued in 2002. Hope this helps, Raf
If you already have an USB flas bootable with XP on it, plug in into the laptop, and when the laptop starts, press F12. Then you should select that the computer should boot from USB. If this won't work, try to attach an external DVD\cd unit.
Remove the battery the memory the ac adapter, the hard drive, the cd rom.Press and hold the power button down for twenty seconds.try again if no go you will have to replace the systemboard.
Good luck
Pls try: 1. When the Dell logo screen appears press the F2 key to enter the BIOS?COMS; or 2. There are some Dell Latitude that uses Fn + F1 (while booted).
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
