My son's Gameboy Advance SP screen is not working right. The screen looks black, but if you hold it in direct sunlight the images are just barely able to be seen. He said it was working fine, then the screen went black He turned it off and restarted it , but it was still black. My husband changed the battery, that was not it. Everything else works fine... volume, buttons, and the accesories. Does anyone know what is wrong with it & how to fix it? Thanks In advance

Sounds like a loose solder connection on the backlight. Your going to have to open the gba up and resolder the wires powering the backlight.

Why doesnt my gameboy sp backlight work?

If pressing of the light bulb icon does not work at relighting the screen the LEDs/back-light may have burnt out. You may have to get the system replaced.

My ps3 starts but wont go to the home menu. the green and blue lights are on but it just doesnt go to the home. it stays at a green screen with the wave going through it. i tried to hard reset and pulled...

You might need to Reset it fully, just turn it on so you see the red, than hold the power button until you hear a beep. Follow the instructions! if this doesnt work you can also try turning everything off for a day and turn it on! But the restarting one usually helps most poeple!

My problem is that my ds lite doesn't it want to turn on and i charged it and i turned it on and it still doesn;t work still

This could be for a couple of reasons depending on what exactly happens.
I will assume that by you saying that you have charged it the orange light came on and stayed on until it was fully charged.

When you say it doesnt want to turn on does that mean the green light comes on for a brief moment (1-2secs) and then turns off again or is there no signs of life at all?

If the green light comes on for 1-2secs then one of the screens should flash, if one does then the other one will need to be either reconnected if its become loose or replaced. For a guide on how to change your top or bottom screen click on my name then scroll down to tips and tricks, select view all to see my full list.

If the green light doesnt come on at all then the chances are you have blown the fuse. Again if you need a guide on changing the fuse click on my name and then scroll down to tips and trick, select view all to see my full list.

I hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to message me.

Ds lite green light is on but both screens are black and no sound

For GBA games the green light is meant to stay on. The orange light will stay on as long as its recharging. It will turn off when its fully recharged or when you unplug it

the backlight is dead. Ihad the same problem with my original DS. This can be repaired but you will need to find a part source for a ds light backlight, try ebay. A lot of parts for newer consoles are hard to find. Even for me and I know how to repair a lot of it.Or try replacing the backlight with LED's
