Top shelf of old sub-zero refigerator 60 degrees, bottom shelf OK

I would guess that this sub-zero is from the 80's. When we bought the house there was a hard start on the refrigerator. We replaced the condenser in 2001. Recently we noticed that the top shelf was 60 degrees. We lowered the temperature and blew out the condenser area. No improvement. The bottom shelf is 39 degrees and the freezer is fine. I don't know whether it's worth it to throw any more money at this vintage frig. It's built in and we don't want to spend the $$$ to replace it with another sub-zero. If the problem could be fixed for no more than $200 and it could perhaps last another 6 months to a year, it would be worth it to delay the hassle of pulling it out. Any ideas?

U may have a defrost problem it would be worth paying for the service call if something simple like defrost or a fan would still be more than 200 but worth it

My refrigerator has temperature a problem. The top shelf is about 60 degrees and the bottom shelf has ice on back wall and partially freezes food.

open the door, push in the two switches on the top,the lights should go out and the fan on top should be blowing, you can remove the light cover to see the fan,if the fan isn't working cold air will stay at the bottom and the top will be warm.if there's an ice block just on the left side back wall around 2 feet up from the crisper draws then you have a freeon leak in the coil and it has to be changed but it sounds like theair isn't ciculating, bad fan motor.

I have a Zub Zero 650 refrigerator (top) freezer (bottom) that is 10 years old. The ice maker has a grey plastic arm to the upper right. Ours appears to be broken off at one end. On one side of this...

Yes, they should look the same. This bracket helps to turn the ice maker off to prevent over flow. Guessing by the age I believe you have a 650 or a 650-2. The part number for this is 7014671 and it is called a ice maker rudder arm. Go to http://subzero.com/locator/index.aspx to locate your local parts supplier. If you look inside the door jamb you will see your model and serial number. Give this to the parts house to ensure you get the proper arm.

Just bought a house that has a sub-zero 690 sisde by side. I don't have a manual. Can you tell me how to use the 4 drawers below? I'm not use what product should go in each to stay fresh. thanks,

The top wide wired basket is just a utility drawer. The next wide drawer near the bottom is the high humidity crisper drawer. I believe the bottom two ones are just utility drawers.

Freezer not working on Sub-Zero 550 Refrigerator/Freezer

You probably need to defrost freezer - frozen moisture possibly stockedevap. fan motor in the freezer. Turn it OFF for 24 hours and start itover. Make sure no moisture condensation on the freezer compartmentsurfaces as walls and shelfs. If so wipe it out. Pull out and remove upper basket from the freezer, push fan switch which is located almost under ice maker. You have to hear evaporator fan motor start working. Still not work? Call to professionaltechie! Good luck! :)

Sub-zero 550 reefridgerator top freezer bottom - refridgerator door not staying closed

Just a guess, but I would check the gasket on the door. They can go bad or get distorted and bunch up and cause the door to bind and not close properly. Also check that the fridge is leveled properly. Will the door close if pushed? Will it stay closed?
