Don't laugh! But can someone tell me how to change the image size to a lower size from 1.33MB?

Hi, open camera, open menu, select HG, scroll down to SQ, click o.k. This is the lowest setting, and will allow you to email
images very easily, I have gotten them to 60-70kb, lowest possible.

You can change the record mode in the camera to shoot at a lower image size of 640X480 by changing from HQ to SQ mode. Page 72 of the instruction manual explains how to change the record mode setting. You can also use photo editing software to reduce the image size down to 640X480 which is equivalent to the size of a 3X5 photo.

Change camera resolution

Most digital cameras will allow you to select the resolution at which it captures images and/or videos. Some call it "resolution" while some call it "image size" or other similar terms.

The higher the resolution or larger the image size, the larger the file. Many online services restrict the maximum size of image and/or video files they accept. Lowering the resolution or reducing the image size will reduce the size of the files.

Please refer to your camera's documentation. If you still need assistance, please reply to this post and specify the make and model of your camera.

Display is fine for the most part, but it is folding over itself at the top of the screen. I tried adusting the screen size with the buttons on the front, but the folding stops at just about as small as...

There should also be a control to "lower" the image with respect to the screen. By reducing the size and recentering the image you should be able to fix the problem, if it can be fixed at all. If this control doesn't work, I'm afraid it's probably the beam electronics that got fritzed (it's usually a US$20 repair, but the problem lies in finding someone willing and able. Most CRT services won't service you unless they can swap the internal daughterboard with a working one of the same make and model, and these are getting increasingly rare with most monitors being flat LCD).

Hope this helps, have a nice day

Changing shooting size to 320x240 on jvc everio hard disk drive

The everio series uses image quality setting for resolution. The lowest setting is economy so try it in that setting. If the images is still to large then this means the everio can't shoot any lower so you would have to edit it. A quicker solution I think for You tube posting is get a low end camcorder the the flip or one that shoots the video on a media card. These are lower resolution cameras and run around a hundred.

Start up the Viewer and select the folder containing the image you wish to send. 2. Double-click the thumbnail for the image file you want to resize to open the image in its own full-size window. 3. Select "Image size" in the "Image" menu. 4. Set "%" as the "Unit" used for file size display. Then enter a value lower than 100 as the "Width" or "Height" and click the [OK] button. 5. Select "Save as" in the "File" menu to save the image. (You can also reduce the image file size by lowering the quality in "Save as type".)
