Hi, my c1100 starts to show an error: "Service req E527". It starts after the firmware update. Before that it was spending a lot of time warming up or calibrating.

It has a piece of something stocked between the K cart and the printers assy, and stopped the caroucel. I did remouve this piece of plastic. There is another problem!! The printer spends a lot of time, 3 minutes or so, worming up, next says to replace the K cart. I allready did it, without any results. The message is allways the same. What firmware version have you updated to?
Check the sensor for the carousel. It could be that the sensor has got a nudged and knocked out of alignment. Remove the PCU and you will see the sensor on the left side above the carousel.
Adjust it so it lines up better with the carousel. If it's still bad, check the sensor behind the LV/HV power supply. To do this you will need to remove the two power supply's.

Hi.. To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed, the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall the toner cartridge if stuck.

Service Req xyyyy A Controller error or print engine error detected. Turn off the printer. Wait at least 5 seconds and then turn it back on. If the error message still appears, write down the error number listed on the LCD panel (xyyyy) and turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and contact a qualified service representative

The E547 error relates to the feed motor:

Feed Motor Failure
DRIVE ASSY FEED (Feed Motor) of the Feeder is not rotating at the specified speed.
This is error is most often caused by electronic part failures rand is not easily rectified by the non professional user. Continuity needs to be checked on several parts of the harness as well as voltage and resistance tests to determine which part has failed.
If the machine has warranty on it, you need to call Epson.
